EdgeBrook Lane Consulting, LLC (“EdgeBrook Lane”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides customized human resource and training and development solutions (collectively, “Service” or “Services”). Use of the EdgeBrook Lane Site, e-communication tools, and our social media sites (collectively, “Site” or “Sites”), including all materials presented on the Sites and through all Services provided by EdgeBrook Lane is governed by the data practices described in this Privacy Policy (“Policy”). This Policy applies to all Site visitors, customers, and all other users of the Site and our Services (collectively, “you” and “your”).

Information from Children

EdgeBrook Lane’s Site content is only available for use by those over the age of 18, and only those over 18 may purchase Services. To access or use the Site, you must be 18 years old or older, and have the requisite power and authority to enter into this Policy. Our Site content is not targeted to, intended to be consumed by, or designed in any way to entice individuals under the age of 18 to review our content. EdgeBrook Lane will not knowingly collect, use, or maintain Personal Information from people actually known to be under the age of 18 through its Site. Individuals under the age of 18 are legally prohibited from using this Site. Please contact EdgeBrook Lane immediately if you know of or have reason to believe anyone under the age of 18 has shared their Personal Information with us, and we will delete it immediately unless we are legally required to keep it.

Such postings may appear on other websites, or when searches are executed on the subject of your post and may generally be publicly available and collected by others. We do not control who reads your content or what others may do with your content, so we encourage you to exercise discretion and caution with respect to your content, as you may not be able to edit or delete your content later. 

How We Use Tracking Technologies (Cookies & Beacons)

EdgeBrook Lane and our authorized service providers (such as standard website analytics utilities) use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to help us understand website traffic, personalize your experience, and optimize site functionality.

  • Cookies: A cookie is a small text file sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your device. We use these to facilitate site navigation and analyze general traffic patterns.

  • Web Beacons & Pixels: These tiny graphic files monitor user activity on the site. If you disable cookies, web beacons still detect basic, anonymous visits, but they cannot link that activity to your specific device identifiers.

Additionally, our platform does not independently possess the technical infrastructure to automatically recognize automated, browser-based universal opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC). How Third Parties Use Your Personal Information 

From time to time we may share your Personal Information with third parties to help us provide Services, run and market our business, and comply with legal obligations. How Your Personal Information is Secured

EdgeBrook Lane exercises what we consider to be appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your Personal Information from unauthorized or unlawful access, and from accidental loss, destruction, or damage to your Personal Information. Such measures may include the use of secure passwords, SSL encryption, disk-based encryption, firewalls, antivirus and malware detection systems, and other measures that help us protect your Personal Information. However, no exchange of data over the Internet can be guaranteed as 100% secure. While we make every effort to protect the Personal Information you share with us through our Site and Services, by your use of our Site and Services you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The Personal Information you voluntarily share with us can be accessed or tampered with by a third-party at any time;

  • You are responsible for making sure your Personal Information is accurate and up to date;

Should a data breach of your Personal Information occur, if you have provided an email address to us, EdgeBrook Lane will notify you via email at the last known email address we have for you within in accordance with applicable state laws and without unreasonable delay.

How We Communicate with You

EdgeBrook Lane may contact you directly or through a third-party service provider regarding our Services. With your consent, or where allowed based upon legitimate interests, we may also contact you with timely information about products, services, features, surveys, newsletters, promotions, contents, upcoming events and the like that we think you’ll find valuable.

By using our Site or Services you are hereby requesting and expressly consent to being contacted by us, by our agents, or representatives, and you agree that we may contact you until you otherwise opt out of our communications (“Your Authorization”). Your Authorization shall apply even if you are listed on any federal, state, provincial, local, and other applicable laws, and regulations, or other applicable “Do Not Call” list. Your Authorization shall apply even if you have previously opted-out from receiving marketing communications from us, but just to the extent that we may provide Services to you. You agree that all consents provided in this section will survive termination of this Agreement. If such communication limitations restrict our ability to perform our contractual obligations to you (e.g., necessary scheduling or client portal access), we may not be able to provide our Services to you, but you always have the right to opt out of marketing and promotional communications. If you do not use our Services, we will only contact you if you have elected to receive communications from us (e.g., signing up for our newsletter or subscribing to our social media). We may use the following tools to communicate with you:

Mobile information and SMS opt-in data will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

CAN-SPAM Act

When sending you commercial content through email, EdgeBrook Lane agrees to the following:

  • We will not use false or misleading header information;

  • We will not use deceptive subject lines;

  • We will tell you where we are located by providing you with a valid physical postal address;

  • We will tell you how to opt out of receiving future commercial emails from us;

  • We will honor your opt-out requests promptly and within 10 business days of receipt; and

  • We will monitor what third-party email companies are doing on our behalf (if anything).

How Long We Keep Your Information

Once your access to our Site and use of our Services end, we may keep your Personal Information for as long as we are required to under the law, under contract, and according to our data retention policies then in place, whichever is longer. We will exercise all reasonable safeguards to protect your Personal Information as long as we are in possession of the Personal Information.

Your Rights

In general, you can visit the Site without having to actively disclose Personal Information though EdgeBrook Lane may keep track of the domains of people who visit us, and we may analyze data derived from those visits to get insight into trends and statistics as we note above. Once you decide to utilize our Services and take active steps toward that end, EdgeBrook Lane will need to collect Personal Information from you as described above. When you share Personal Information with us through our Site or our Services you have certain rights with regard to that Personal Information.

  • Withdraw your consent to us processing your Personal Information (to the extent such processing is based on your consent and your consent is the only permissible basis for processing your Personal Information).

You are free to limit the Personal Information you share with us, but please understand it may impact our ability to adequately perform our Services or provide personalized Services. If such limitations restrict our ability to comply with the ethical standards to which we are subject, or to perform our contractual obligations to you, we may not be able to provide our Services to you. To modify or cause your Personal Information to be deleted or to opt out of receiving communications from us please contact us.

Control What You Share with Third Parties

If you use third parties to work with EdgeBrook Lane you may be able to manage how your Personal Information is collected, used, and shared by them, but you will have to read their privacy policies to identify the choices they offer you. The categories of third parties with whom we share Personal Information and with whom you may also interact are identified above.

Control How We Communicate with You

We use many communication tools to stay in contact with you (e.g., email, client portal, text messages, telephone calls, video conferences, postal mail, etc.). Depending on the Services we are providing you and our contractual obligations to you, you may be able to decide how and to what extent we communicate with you during the Services. After Services are completed you may direct us not to contact you further and EdgeBrook Lane will respect your wishes. 

Delete or Limit Personal Information

If you would like to see or have your Personal Information deleted or limited, please follow the instructions for contacting us located at the end of this Policy. Please understand that if you make such a request, EdgeBrook Lane will first need to verify your identity before we can respond to your request. If we are unable to verify your identity, we will not be able to complete your request. Additionally, EdgeBrook Lane may need to keep some of your Personal Information so we can 1) complete our Services and/or comply with our contractual obligations to you; 2) detect and prevent malicious, fraudulent, or illegal activity; 3) protect the legal rights of you or others; 4) manage our business processes that are reasonably related to your expectations when purchasing our Services; or 5) comply with the law.

Updates to This Privacy Policy

This Policy was last updated as of the Effective Date and supersedes all prior version of this Policy. EdgeBrook Lane reserves the right to change or update the Policy at any time and for any reason. By using the Site or our Services you acknowledge and agree that it is your sole responsibility to review this Site and this Policy periodically to be aware of any modifications. 

If you have any concerns about the changes, please contact us according to the instructions below to let us know you do not accept the amended Policy. If we make material changes to how we handle or process previously collected Personal Information, we will actively notify you by placing a prominent notice on our homepage or by contacting you directly via email to obtain your affirmative consent where legally required.  After the amended Policy becomes effective EdgeBrook Lane will collect, store, use, manage, and protect your Personal Information as documented in the amended Policy.
